HIDEAWAY

Hideaway Cable Organizer hides all cables and cords conveniently both at home and in your office. With three size alternatives, your electronic accessories can be easily gathered for fast access when you need to connect or unplug your gadgets. Phones, iPods and other gadgets that need to be charged can be securely stored in the scooped-out lid with gummed grooves. Hideaway’s smallest model fits well on the small hallway table or on your bedside table. Here you can also store other things that frequently end up lying around on tables, such as keys and wallets. Each of the two larger models fits conveniently on the floor and has room for a two-way cable so that a number of different gadgets can be connected.

CABLE ORGANIZER

Hideaway comes in three sizes: Small, Medium and X-Large. All function under the same principle: cables to outlets run from the underside of the box. Cables that will be connected to cell phones, computers or other electronic products run through a hole in the lid. It is therefore easy to connect and disconnect things, but it is also easy to lift the lid without disturbing the items lying on top. Hideaway is both a box for all cables and a basin for storing smaller electronics, a practical product with many uses both at home and in the office.

PARK YOUR CELL PHONE

The lid on Hideaway is designed to work as a basin or small tray where you can put your keys and wallet in addition to your cell phone. On a table in the entryway, the small version of Hideaway becomes the natural place to put things that normally hide in your pockets when you are on the go. However, these days many use their cell phones as alarm clocks, so it can be handy to have a place by the bed where the charger is also located. Even other chargers, such as those for cameras and toys, find a home in Hideaway’s lid.

SCANDINAVIAN DESIGN

Bosign's products follow the Scandinavian design tradition where form follows functionality, and Bosign tries as much as possible to choose authentic and natural materials for its products. Many factors need to be considered in the choice of materials: function, surface, color, cost, weight and above all environmental impact.

DESIGN: JONATHAN MALTZ

All Bosign products are developed together with Bosign's own design team, but there is always a main designer who is responsible for the design and who gives the product its final look. Hideaway's journey from idea to final product has been managed by Jonathan Maltz. Other Bosign products created by Jonathan include Smart Hooks and Dish Cloth Holder.

MADE FOR TWO-WAY SOCKETS

The different sizes of Hideaway are made to work with the most frequently-used two-way plug sockets. Hideaway can be used in a variety of ways, but many of its qualities are designed with a multi-way socket in mind.

RIGHT PLASTIC

Products in close contact with high-voltage objects must take into consideration fire danger and the potential for electric shock. Therefore, the materials in Hideaway are neither potentially conductive nor flammable, and are also chosen to be recyclable. The top of the lid has a thin layer of a soft rubber-like plastic to ensure items are stable and do not slide off the lid very easily, and to provide a storage place for fragile items.

LID WITH A SNAP

To keep cables in the box, Hideaway's lid has small heels that snap in place when you close the lid. Other protruding cables are kept in place and the lid is securely shut, but can easily be opened by gripping and pulling on the hole in the lid.

VENTILATION

Electronic equipment often produces heat and it is therefore important that air is able to circulate. Ventilation holes on the underside of Hideaway let in fresh air and ventilate the inside of Hideaway via thermal streaming.

Note: Only the largest model has ventilation holes. The two smaller models have no ventilation holes.

På Hideaways undersida finns hål stora nog för att man skall kunna föra igenom en normalstor kontakt. På sidan finns hål för ett antal sladdar.

STABILA FÖTTER

På Hideaways undersida sitter fyra silikonfötter som ger ett stabilt grepp på de flesta underlag och håller Hideaway på plats. Hideaway står kvar där du har ställt den och dras inte iväg så lätt av t.ex. en sladd som kanske är något för kort.
