Here's how we use your personal data

We at Bosign always strive to manage and collect information about our customers and visitors as little as possible.

Below is a list of the types of data that we may collect.

Statistics

We use the Google Analytics service to know how many people visit our website. We do not actively send any personal data to the service and we have neither the possibility nor the intention to track how a certain individual uses the website.

IP numbers are registered and stored temporarily for security reasons, but are not directly linked to other personal data.

Account

If you create an account with us, we store the information you give us (name, address, email, phone number). You can change your information yourself from the menu at the bottom of this page.

When purchasing

When you buy products from us, we store delivery and invoice information to be able to complete the order, to handle warranty commitments and to meet regulatory requirements. Card payment is handled by the DIBS or Paypal service and we never process or store your card details.

In case of invoice payment, we also do a routine credit report which is then deleted after handling

Cookies

When you visit the website, cookies are stored in the browser to manage the login, the shopping cart and some settings that you can do on the page. We also create cookies for products you are looking at to facilitate navigation. These are automatically deleted after a while and can also be manually deleted via the settings in your browser.

Support and warranty matters

Mail conversations and documentation regarding support, guarantee cases and the like are stored for two years after the case has been completed.

Questions, rectification and erasure

If you have any questions about how we process your information or if you want to erase the information we may have about you, you can contact us at [email protected] and we will handle this as soon as we can.

Note that due to regulatory requirements regarding, for example, accounting, we may have to store certain information for a longer period of time before we are allowed to delete them. In such cases, you will be informed of this, and this information will never be used for anything other than what is required by law.

Bosign Privacy Policy

Protecting your personal data is extremely important to us. We are constantly working to improve how we process and protect your data.

his privacy policy contains information on how Bosign uses your personal data in accordance with the European Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"). We encourage you to review our policies, however, as we may need to ask you for consent to collect your data.

Note that by "Bosign" we mean Bosign AB.

1. General

Personal data is, either individually or in combination with other data, can be used to identify, locate or contact a person. Examples of personal data are name, email address or telephone number.

Processing of purchases on this site involves use of personal data, e.g. when we receive information about a customer in order to deliver a product. Under section 5 you can read about why we may need to collect personal data

The personal data controller is the organisation that decides which personal data is to be requested and for what purpose this is to be done. It is the responsibility of the controller to ensure that the collection of your personal data is done in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.

2. Bosign AB

Bosign AB is responsible for ensuring that all obligations regarding the processing of your personal data are complied with throughout the Bosign group (the so-called joint data controller).

3. What data do we collect?

When you contact us via, for example, mail or telephone, visit our website, register an account or place an order and we process personal data. Depending on the situation, we may need to ask you for the following information:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Country
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Company and industry that you represent
  • Job title
  • Website address for the company
  • Other information that you voluntarily disclose through communication with us
  • Uploaded image
  • Personal code number
  • Anonymized technical data when you visit our website such as screen resolution, country, what products are visited and operating system.
  • IP address

4. Information from other sources

We may also need to process other information about you based on public information. In case of invoice purchases, for example, we make a routine credit report which is then deleted.

5. How do we use your information?

We always strive to only process the personal information required to provide our service and fulfill our commitment to you. In addition to this, certain tasks can also be used for other restricted areas, especially for recruitment purposes (see section 9).

The information you provide to us is used for the following purposes:

  • Communicating with you and responding to requests
  • Execute our commitments in accordance with an agreement or agreement with you or in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Sales of our products and marketing in the form of newsletters accepted by you that may contain offers and other content that we think you may be interested in to offer a more customized service.
  • Support and warranty cases

6. Newsletter and direct marketing

If you choose to sign up for our newsletters or otherwise approve direct marketers, we may occasionally send out newsletters or other forms of direct marketers to you via email, for example. These mailings contain information about our products or other events and news regarding Bosign.

You can change your subscription settings and refrain from further marketing by following the link at the end of all our marketing emails or by contacting us directly. If you have a registered account with us, you can also unsubscribe through your account settings.

7. How long do we save data?

We will save your information for as long as we consider it necessary to fulfill its original purpose for collection. The data is then deleted.

If you have active contact with us, such as warranty cases or support, we store this communication and information regarding the case for up to two years from the last interaction, and the data will be deleted.

Orders placed and information regarding these are stored throughout the guarantee period or until you close your account with us.

If you are a customer or licensee to us, we store information about you for seven years after the conclusion of a contract or commitment, in accordance with Swedish law and other regulatory requirements such as Swedish or other local accounting laws.

We process relevant information for newsletters and other direct mail communications until you choose to unsubscribe from them and then delete them.

If you are employed by a company that is a customer, partner or licensee to us, we can process your information to fulfill agreements, agreements and for customer management. During active contact with your company we will handle your information until either

  1. you terminate your employment or assignment with the company
  2. the company ends up having an active relationship with us.

If the relationship with a customer, partner or licensee ends, the same processes regarding the processing of your data will follow as in the previous paragraphs. If you terminate your employment or assignment with the company, you are responsible for informing us of this so that we can delete your information.

Please note that some information may be processed for longer than what is stated above if we are required to do so by law, by a governmental or court decision, due to a legal dispute or when there is a risk of the laughter or similar.

8. Who has access to your information?

We constantly strive to ensure that your data only is accessible to people who really need it. In general, your data is accessible to employees of the company working in marketing, law, finance, IT and communication, depending on the type of information involved. In addition to this, data may be accessible to other people at Bosign with whom you communicate directly.

9. Job application and recruitment

If you are applying for a job with us, we may need to collect the following information about you::

  • Contact information, such as name, email address, address and telephone number
  • Employment history and education
  • Language skills and other job-related skills
  • Social security number or other national ID number
  • Date of birth
  • Sex
  • Citizenship and status regarding work permits
  • Disability and health information
  • If relevant, results from drug tests, excerpts from the load register and other background checks
  • If relevant, results from personality and knowledge tests
  • References, information obtained through these references, and other information that you provide us, such as CV, personal letter or other information about your qualifications.

After the recruitment process is over, this information will be deleted if you have not actively given us consent to store them. However, some information may need to be processed further if this is required by law, regulatory or legal requirements as a result of legal dispute or if it is considered to be at risk for this or similar.

10. Shared information with partners

We do not sell, rent, distribute or otherwise actively disclose your personal information to third parties. However, we may share certain information with other companies within the corporate group, partners or suppliers in order to carry out the commitments and services mentioned in this policy.

11. Security, storage and transmission

We use administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect your personal information from accidental, illegal or unauthorized destruction, loss, modification, access or use.

We may need to share your information with our international offices in Germany and Croatia, so communication with you may also come from these offices. We may also need to allow suppliers and outside personnel to temporarily access machines and services where your information is stored, in particular to maintain our IT systems.

All data transfer outside the EU / EEA is done in accordance with relevant data protection laws. Unless otherwise justified, all transfer of personal data (including transfer to potential international offices outside the EU / EEA) is based on the European Commission's standard contract clauses.

This data transfer to servers in so-called third countries complies with the rules for secure data transfer under the Data Protection Regulation, in accordance with the Privacy Shield Framework, which has been developed between the EU and the US. Personal data can also be stored and processed via IT services such as Google, Microsoft, Slack or other IT services for various cloud solutions. Note that these services can store data on servers outside the EU / EEA, which we cannot manage. However, we always strive to maintain as high security as possible, both for you and our protection.

12. You are entitled to know what data we have about you and request correction or deletion

You have the right to request information about the data we have about you, in the form of a digital excerpt. You may also request to correct inaccurate data, delete information about you or, in some cases, transfer your personal data to another data controller (so-called "data portability"). You also have the right to object to the processing of certain personal data or request to limit our data processing about you. If you have given us consent to process your information then you also have the right to withdraw it. If you withdraw your consent, we will delete the information we process as a result of this consent.

Please note that limiting data processing or deletion may limit our ability to provide you with relevant information regarding our commitment to you as well as make support and warranty issues more difficult. In this case, it is your responsibility to provide the relevant information required (eg receipt).

14. Updates to this policy

This privacy policy (including potential attachments) may be updated periodically to reflect changes to our privacy practices. In case of significant changes, we will note this clearly on our website and document in this policy when the last change occurred.
